Cheers to Summer
The Time Out Bar team welcomes the summer with a new menu of refreshing lighter cocktails, as you would want at this time of year. We chose three and matched them with three events that are to take place in June in the food hall.
Beyond the Mule (€12)
As refreshing as a night of lively Brazilian forró music, this cocktail is perfect to accompany the rhythms of this night at the Market. This Time Out Bar signature cocktail includes vodka, Limoncello, apple juice, basil, ginger and ginger beer. It is fresh, citrusy and light. This most refreshing cocktail on our summer menu is the best option to cool down from the heat of dancing.
Baião night at the Market takes place on June 7, from 8.30pm to midnight. Free admission.
Bird Macumba (€13)
We chose this complex, aromatic and quite refreshing cocktail to accompany the samba nights at the Market, where there is always a lot of magic involved, only it’s not black. When the samba plays in the food hall, nobody can stand still and watch the pairs of dancers gliding on the improvised dance floor. Espaço Baião are responsible for this night dedicated to Samba de Gafieira, a ballroom style of the dance in pairs, which, like forró, is part of Brazil’s cultural DNA. This cocktail is made with rum, Aperol, vanilla, passion fruit, pineapple juice, lime and raspberry syrup. June 21, 9pm. Food hall, free admission.
NoGo! (€13)
Not that there is any need to bring even more spices to Time Out Market, but salsa nights usually spice up the Market a lot. They are on the last Wednesday of the month (next on 28 June) from 8.30 p.m. until closing time. Every month, this is where salseros gather to engage in the queen of Latin dances.
To accompany this intense night, we suggest a cocktail with a complex, aromatic and smoky flavour, but with a very refreshing finish. It is composed of ingredients such as Mezcal, Green Chartreuse, Mancino Sakura, lime and grapefruit juice, aloe vera and celery cordial and grapefruit soda. But contrary to what the title suggests, we say: “It is go!” June 28, 8.30 pm. Food hall, free admission.
