A space for creative and cultural work where all kinds of businesses cohabit.
This veritable forest of plants where David Attenborough might pop up at any moment amid the foliage is actually a creative and cultural workspace opened on the first floor of the Mercado da Ribeira. Designed by Spanish architecture practice Selgas Cano, Second Home seeks to bring together a diverse and ambitious creative community. Ensuring that it flourishes is the central aim of this creative accelerator for a range of industries that was founded in London with a whole new work philosophy.
Second Home is composed of an open-plan area filled with plants and vintage lamps with space for more than 200 members, a lounge with a café that prides itself on serving the city’s best flat whites, a library, meeting rooms, a well-being area for yoga, pilates or meditation lessons, and a cultural space to host film screenings, small concerts and conferences. All for members only.
