No. Time Out Market has a casual approach with its communal seating. You’re welcome to take a seat at our communal tables anytime you’d like.

What are the market opening hours?

Note: regular hours on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day. On New Year’s Eve the 5th floor will be open through 1am (RSVP here), regular hours New Year’s Day.

The fifth floor bar closes at 10pm, Sunday–Thursday, and 11pm, Saturday–Sunday.

Are you open for breakfast?

We are open for breakfast every day. Starting at 8am, the following restaurants are open: Clinton Street Bakery (closes at 8pm), Avocaderia (closes at 7pm), Breads Bakery (closes at 8pm), Loco Coco (closes at 7pm). All other restaurants open at 11am.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes. You can sign in to free Wi-Fi at the market.

Do you offer vegan and/or gluten-free options?

Yes, but food sensitivities and allergies should be discussed with the chefs and staff at the market while ordering.

Do you allow pets?

Pets are allowed on the 5th-floor rooftop as well as the outdoor seating on Old Dock Street. Pets are not allowed inside the market unless they are service animals.

Is parking available?

Paid parking is available at 100 Jay Street parking garage.

Are there ATMs on the premises?

No, Time Out Market New York does not have an ATM, there is a Chase Bank 0.3 miles away on 136 Front St.

Do you accept cash?

We do accept cash at the bars, but not for our eateries. As an alternative to using your credit or debit card at the eateries, you can also purchase a Time Out Market Card, which is a pre-loaded card that you can purchase and top up at the market. You can also use your standard debit or credit cards directly at our bar and eateries.

What is a Time Out Market Card?

The Time Out Market Card can be treated as currency at Time Out Market New York. You’ll use it in place of cash and refill it as needed. For more information, please see the Time Out Market Card’s terms of service here.

Where are you located?

Empire Stores, 55 Water Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201. We have four entrances to the main floor of the market: the lobby of Empire Stores, off Old Dock Street, Water Street, and the outdoor lobby on the waterfront of Empire Stores. The 5th-floor and rooftop can be accessed from the outside stairs as well as via two elevators, one located inside the first floor of Empire Stores and the other just outside, off the entrance facing the East River.

How many eateries does the market have?

There are 21 eateries with some of New York City’s top chefs and restaurateurs inside Time Out Market New York. In addition, there are three bars, a 1st-floor outdoor seating area, a 5th-floor that includes a rooftop with waterfront views, and an indoor stage where we regularly showcase local talent.

Is the rooftop open year round?

Weather permitting, yes!
